Can I book a producer without booking a studio?
No, producers at Bay Eight Studios can only be booked with studio time. Attending the sessions
is a key part of the beat ownership process.
Do I own my lyrics?
You own 100% of your lyrics if you are the song’s sole writer. We do not take any ownership of the lyrics. However, if you decide to collaborate with one of our songwriters, you will share ownership of the lyrics with them. The default split is 50%. Are there any contracts involved?
Yes, we will provide split sheets to document the set terms that you agree to when you’re booking a producer and/or songwriter at Bay Eight.
