Rental Policies

Our goal at Bay Eight is to provide you with the most unique, high-quality recording experience ever. In order for us to assure convenience and accessibility to all of our clients, it is important that all guests adhere to our recording studio policies.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made after the 24-hour deadline will result in a cancellation fee equal to the total amount of the scheduled studio time or a forfeit of deposit/prepayment. Studio time includes all and any additional services, equipment rentals and upgrades requested and included at the time of booking. We do not offer refunds on cancellations made before the 24-hour deadline. Payment made at the time of booking will be held as a credit on-file for six months. All sales are final. Your booking serves as your acceptance of our studio policies and regulations.

Rescheduling Policy

You are only allowed to reschedule your session one time. Rescheduled sessions after the initial change will result in a fee equal to the total amount of the scheduled studio time or a forfeit of deposit/prepayment. Studio time includes all and any additional services, equipment rentals and upgrades requested and included at the time of booking. of deposit/prepayment. We do not offer refunds on rescheduled sessions made before the 24-hour deadline. Payment made at the time of booking will be held as a credit on-file for six months. In the event that the session is ended early by the client, the remaining time of the session would be forfeited. We do not credit the remaining time for future sessions. All sales are final. Your booking serves as your acceptance of our studio policies and regulations.

Missed Appointment Policy

A “missed appointment” is an occurrence where someone does not show up for an appointment and does not cancel the appointment in advance of the scheduled date and time. If you do not show up for your appointment and you do not cancel the appointment 24 hours in advance, we will record this as a “missed appointment” and will result in a missed appointment fee equal to the total amount of the scheduled studio time or a forfeit of deposit/prepayment. Studio time includes all and any additional services, equipment rentals and upgrades requested and included at the time of booking. Your booking serves as your acceptance of our studio policies and regulations.

Payments And Fees

We accept major label PO’S, ACH, cash, Cashapp, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay wire transfers, and credit card/debit cards. When paying with a card, the cardholder, credit/debit card and photo ID must all be physically present at the time of the session to verify all details match. A photo of any of the three will NOT BE ACCEPTED. There is a $15.00 wire transfer fee for any incoming domestic wires. There is a $25.00 wire transfer fee for any incoming international wire transfers. Receipts are only available within 30 days of your session date. We are not responsible for providing receipts for transactions past 30 days of the session date. All receipts should be requested by the client at the time of session or within 30 days of the session. Any further receipt tracking will be charged a fee of $65 if necessary. All sales are final. Your booking serves as your acceptance of our studio policies and regulations.

Deposits

A deposit of 60% of your grand total is required to reserve your scheduled session. The remaining balance is due upon arrival before the start of your session. Payees must provide a valid photo ID along with the credit card used for payment upon arrival. The ID must match the name on the card used for deposit/balance payments. If the person who made the payment is not in attendance or does not have an ID, your deposit will be forfeited unless an alternative method of payment is provided. Photos of ID, card and/or cardholder will not be accepted as valid proof. All sales are final. Your booking serves as your acceptance of our studio policies and regulations.

Your Session

Please arrive on time for your session as we do not push sessions back for tardiness. If you show up to your session late you will still be charged for the full-time scheduled. If you leave your scheduled session early before your end time, the remaining time and payment will be forfeited. We do not rollover or credit payments or studio time for leaving early. Your booking serves as your acceptance of our studio policies and regulations.

Your Guests

 There is a maximum of 10 guests allowed in our SSL Room and 5-7 in our Apollo and Whisper Room. THERE ARE NO CHILDREN OR PETS ALLOWED IN OUR FACILITY. We will provide you with a guest list to fill out when you arrive. Any additional guests will be asked to leave the facility. Your booking serves as your acceptance of our studio policies and regulations.

Your Files

We are not responsible for your session files. Please request your engineer to make time for your files to be sent during your booked time. Files requested must be specified. An $85 fee is required for future file transfers beyond booked time. For your privacy and security, we prohibit our audio engineers from providing additional edits or revisions to your songs once the paid session is finished.
