We know people come from all over the world to record in Miami. We don’t want you to feel deterred because of how overwhelming it can feel to make decisions about a studio, a place to stay, and how best to spend your time in our beloved city. We’ve made a short list of some of the best places to eat, sleep, and record in Miami at different price points to save you time.

You can’t go wrong with these reccomendations, so feel free to copy and paste this itinerary if travel planning isn’t your thing.

Where to Stay

Where you should stay while recording in Miami depends on your own unique needs. Do you want a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle? Do you plan to hit up Miami’s hottest nightclubs and underground raves?

Brickell is Miami’s financial district, Wynwood is a hub for visual art, and Little Havana (as the name implies) is a taste of Cuba. The good news is that whatever your preferences, there are plenty of options for hotels near studios in Miami.

Viajero Miami

South Beach
1120 Collins Ave Miami, FL 33139

Set aside the horror stories you may have heard, it’s worth giving hostels a chance. While Miami has plently of hotels near studios, they’re not always the most budget-friendly option. Hostels like Viajero and Generator are centrally located and sometimes preferable to hotels depending on your needs.

Viajero Miami has two pools, a colorful aesthetic, and a bar. They host activities like beer pong, beach volleyball, and yoga. If you don’t know anyone in Miami and are hoping for a chance to meet people, it’s a great options for nonlocals. Viajero’s offerings range from a bed in a 10-person dorm to private rooms. You can get a bed for $38, and a private room for around $190.

Our Mixing and Mastering services are guaranteed to compete with the biggest names in the industry.

Generator Miami

Mid Beach
3120 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Generator Miami has a bar and restaurant, a pool, and laundry facilities. For $50 you can have a bed in a 10-person dorm. If your budget allows, a king or a room with twin beds starts at $210, all the way up-to a luxurious suite for $570 a night.

Where to Eat

Of course there are plenty of fine dining options in Miami, but we also have world-class food at humble prices. This way you’ll have more money to spend on your art. Below are some local favorites that won’t break the bank.

Fiorito

Little Haiti
5650 NE 2nd Ave Miami, FL 33137

Argentinian restaurant Fiorito serves empanadas, Angus beef, and flan. Founded by brothers Maximiliano and Christian Alvarez,  we reccomend this spot for delicious food in a laid-back setting.

They also recently opened a lunch spot, Almacen.

Soi Thai Street Food & Sake Bar

Sweetwater
10016 W Flagler St, Miami, FL 33174

This strip mall joint isn’t going to stay a secret much longer. Here you’ll find small dishes meant to be shared, also ideal if you’re the type of eater who loves to try a little bit of everything. The menu features crowd pleasers like pad thai, fried whole chicken wings, and fried rice, as well as curries and a raw shrimp salad.

219 NE 79TH ST Miami, FL 33138

This colorful grocery store sells oxtails, jerk chicken, and saltfish and ackee. Customers rave about their rotis, but know that they sometimes run out of popular dishes. Don’t worry, you can’t go wrong with anything you order at this Caribbean spot.

Sanguich

Little Havana
2057 SW 8TH ST., MIAMI, FL 33135

Some say Sanguich has the best cubano in Miami. Others say it’s the  best cubano they’ve had in their lives.

Sanguich is acclaimed for making classics with quality ingredients.

The pork that goes into the cubano is marinated for a week. Also, many sandwich ingredients are prepared in-house.

Other menu highlights include the guava and cream cheese milkshake, the cuban coffee, and the cuban nachos, which feature a bed of plaintain chips and a cilantro aioli.

Where to Go

Here’s a quick glimpse into some of the things you can do in between your recording sessions in Miami. While we may be famous for nightlife, we promise there’s plenty to do even if that’s not your vibe.

Hurrem Hamman Wellness Spa

North Beach
14652 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33181

This Turkish hamman is worth visiting just for its architectural marvels. Marble sinks, hand-carved doors, and ornate geometric tiles meet sleek design to create this serene setting. Massages, treatments, facials, hair and nail services are all offered here. You’ll find multiple saunas, an onsite Turkish cafe and restaurant, and even an igloo. A great place to clear your mind in between recording sessions (and conveniently walking distance from our studios). Day passes start at $85 if you go between Monday and Thursday.

Wynwood Walls

Wynwood
2516 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127

Seeing this street art museum now requires purchasing a ticket, but you can purchase an adult general admission ticket for $12. Your ticket purchase goes towards paying artists and hosting programs for the community, and we certainly can’t argue with that.

Premium options include a crash course in spray painting and an opportunity to contribute to one of the museum’s walls. The museum also offers art classes if you feel like exploring another mode of creativity.

Mango’s Tropical Cafe

South Beach
900 Ocean Drive Miami Beach, FL 33139

At this institution, popular both among locals and tourists, you can have dinner and a show, you can party until 5am, or you can take a dance lesson and be in bed by midnight. Entertainment ranges from magicians, musicians, and cabaret dancers.

The club features multiple rooms, but just because dancing is the focus doesn’t mean the food is an afterthought. The vibe is steakhouse meets elevated bar food. There’s tuna tartare, lobster tacos, wagyu meatballs, and even branzino on the menu.

Everynight at 7:30pm, there’s a salsa lesson with mojitos, mocktails, and appertizers. Whether you want to party a little or a lot, Mango’s Tropical Cafe caters to you.
